.....documenting it here for all to see is not.
I think re-vamping and launching my newly reworked website should count as a #365CC.
I'm counting down the days to that three week mark where smart people say this amount of consitency creates a habit.
15 more to go.
Let's do this!
I also wanted to share with you this thought:
I think one of the coolest parts about doing commissions for me is that somebody has to verbally and/or visually explain an idea to me.
They share that idea with me.
They express the vision they have...with me!
I dunno about ya'll, but I have learned to listen in images. I mean, artists always tell you that they're very visual people, but anybody that's ever ordered food at a restaurant with me knows that I have an over active visual cortex.
"Delcious freshcut loin, anyone?"
"None for Mallory, thaaaanks.")
There's some... unmeasurable piece of joy...that I get from at least attempting to make these visions come true for people. I take joy in that. Sometimes there's no job too small. Sometimes people go on and on...and on. And edit. Down to the tiniest detail.
There's just a really cool interaction that happens between myself and my friend/client when a commission happends and I find that we often walk across the creative bridge together. As cheesy as that sounds.
Another really cool thing about making art this way is how organically symbiotic it is. I get really really proud of my artwork and I want to share it and you're stoked so you share and we're all sharing and it's good chaos!
So keep the commissions coming folks. Or we can we don't have to call them commissions...we can call them:
and every other synonym for hand brain creativity.
Art is as open as you are.
where i'll post the in's, out's, tween's, and twixt's of my world of art mixed with pictures, links, opinions, and rants. (oh, and curse words. lots of curse words)
